Koi Pond Nail Art

Hey all!

Today’s details are for my koi pond nails. For this nail art look you will need:

  • OPI natural nail base coat
  • Grey polish (Rimmel Man Overboard)
  • Baby Blue polish (Rimmel Breakfast in bed)
  • Light Blue stamping polish
  • Orange stamping polish
  • Pink stamping polish
  • Green stamping polish
  • Stamper and scraper
  • Hehe37 stamping plate
  • Your favorite top coat

Step one:

Apply one of coat of base coat to all nails, followed by two coats of the baby blue polish to the ring and middle finger and two coats of grey polish to all other nails. Allow for drying time between coats and make sure all  coats are dry before moving onto step two.

Step Two:

Using the hehe37 stamping plate, stamper and scraper and the light blue stamping polish stamp the water effect over the two baby blue nails. Then stamp the koi fish into the water using the orange stamping polish, I fitted one Koi on each  nail. I decided to add the pink flower to the base of the middle nail using the pink stamping polish and then a dragon fly to the pointer finger and ring fingers using the green stamping polish

Step three:

Clean up any stamping that overran onto the skin using a cotton bud dipped in acetone remover or a cleanup brush and follow with one coat of your favorite top coat to all nails

I’ve added a close up so you can see the water effect more clearly
