Hey all, today’s nail details are for these blood spatter nails I did. For these you will need:
- OPI natural nail base coat
- Blood spatter water decals (mine are from nailicious on ebay)
- White nail polish (China glaze white on white)
- small bowl of water
- clear coat (la femme)
- Your favorite top coat (sally hansen insta dri)
A couple of hours in advance, float some clear coat on the top of the decals you are going to use to prevent the ink from dragging or bleeding later, once this is 100% dry, cut out the decals and lay them in order on the surface you are working on.
Apply one coat of base coat to all nails, followed by two coats of white polish. Allow this to fully dry before moving onto step three.
Place the first section of the blood spatter decals into the small bowl of water and let it soak for around 15 seconds, then remove the decal and gently place it on the nail. Move the decal so that the edge which goes onto the next part of the spatter is against the edge of your nail. Press the decal down firmly and remove any excess water with a cotton pad. Add one layer of clear coat to the nail and repeat this process for the other two nails, ensuring that the decals line up in the direction of the spatter.
Apply your favorite top coat to all nails gently, and enjoy your new Dexter-ish bloody nails!
