Watermelon Water Decals – Born Pretty Store

Hey all, todays nail art is a combination of tutorial and review. These nails are time consuming but easy. For these you need:

  • base coat (polish me royalty – gimme some base)
  • white polish (china glaze – white on white)
  • water decals (item no.33975 buy here! )
  • acetone and cleanup brush
  • small dish of water
  • tweezers
  • top coat
  • cotton pads

Step one:

Using a pair of scissors cut the decals into individual decals, then place to one side in finger order so you know which decal is for each finger.

Step two:

Apply base coat to all nails followed by one opaque coat of white polish. Allow to dry fully before moving onto the decals.

Step three:

Peel away the plastic from the decal and place in the water for around 15 seconds, once ready remove the decal from the water using tweezers and then it should slide right off of the paper. These decals are quite thick and therefore you do not need to worry about them tearing during use. Place the decal on the nail and slide into position, use the cotton pad to remove any excess water from the decal, therefore sticking it to the nail.

Step four:

Next take the cleanup brush and acetone and remove any excess, the acetone should dissolve the excess decal.

Step five:

Repeat steps Three and four for all other nails. Once complete add a layer of topcoat and you’re done!

overview:

Overall I loved using these decals, I do have other patterns however these are the ones I’m showing for the review. There is a huge range of patterns available now on Born Pretty Store.
